Terms & Conditions

Plain-English rules for using the Gatewyse Service. By using our apps or website, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Gatewyse mobile apps (Android package com.apps24studio.gatewyse and the iOS counterpart), the website at gatewyse.in, and all related services (the "Service"), provided by Apps24 Studio ("we", "us", "our") at Jagatpura, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

By creating an account, downloading our apps, or using the Service in any other way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or be authorised by your housing society's managing committee, to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account & Roles

The Service uses role-based access control. Each user is assigned exactly one of the following roles by the society administrator:

  • APP_ADMIN — manages the Gatewyse platform across societies (Apps24 Studio internal).
  • SOCIETY_ADMIN — manages a single society's residents, billing, complaints, and staff.
  • GATE_GUARD — logs visitors and operates the gate.
  • OWNER — owner of one or more flats; can approve visitors and manage tenants.
  • TENANT — resident of a flat; can approve visitors for that flat.

You agree to use only your assigned role and to not attempt to access data outside your scope.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
  • Upload offensive, harmful, or copyright-infringing content.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, scrape, reverse-engineer, or load-test the Service without our written permission.
  • Use the Service to harass, intimidate, or stalk any person.
  • Misrepresent your identity, role, or society.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Pricing for paid plans is set out on our Pricing page.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.
  • You may cancel anytime — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • All payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • GST is charged at applicable Indian rates and an invoice is issued for every payment.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all source code, designs, trademarks, and content (other than user-submitted content), is owned by Apps24 Studio and protected by Indian and international intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service strictly as set out in these Terms.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload (visitor photos, complaint descriptions, notice text, etc.). By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to store, transmit, and display that content as required to operate the Service.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in advance. Enterprise plans receive a written 99.9% uptime SLA.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apps24 Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Gatewyse is a software tool that assists with society management; it is not a replacement for human security personnel, legal compliance, or fire/safety equipment.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claims arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or applicable law. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting sales@gatewyse.in.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jaipur, Rajasthan.

13. Changes

We may revise these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be notified to you in-app and via email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
